Text: Psalm 84: 10. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

What more can be precious as having the son of God in your life? A bargain better than all earthly perishable possessions.
Jesus Christ the son of God was made sin and of no reputation, that He may draw all men to Himself by the reason of His death and resurrection.
A songwriter Jim Reeves who had tasted of the Lord said in his song,
I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold.
I’d rather have Jesus than the riches of the earth.
A taste of the son of God is like the parable of a man that discovered a treasure in a field and sold all he had to purchase the field. Matthew 13:44.
It’s beautiful to be called a son of God.
Beloved, risk whatever it will cost you to have Jesus in your life.
Apart from eternal benefit, there are daily benefits of walking with the Lord. Psalm 68:19.

Apostle Paul before his encounter and transformation was a persecutor of the Church and Christians but as he encountered Jesus, he saw the love, the Grace, the benefits and sometime later in his words, “He Paul made it clear, that living was for Christ alone and losing his life for Christ would mean nothing to him”. Philippians 1:21.
Every man that has tasted the love, mercy, and Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, shares the same testimony as Paul did.
Now we see why the Gospel is been preached even amidst the persecution we face.
Amidst persecution are missionaries laying down their lives in defense of their faith.

When we have Jesus in our life, we have the hope of earthly and eternal Glory. Colossians 1:27.
The Psalmist in our Bible text tells us how better it is to spend one day in the courts of the Lord than thousand elsewhere, and how it was much more preferable to be a doorkeeper in the house of God than dwell with the wicked and be held in high fame amidst sinners.
It’s an open invitation today.
A yes to Jesus Christ is a yes to life.
I have tasted and I know that the Lord is good.
No to Jesus Christ the son of God is a yes to the pathway of eternal damnation.

It is Jesus’ desire to hold you by hand and walk you in the path of righteousness in this wicked world.
He places a mark of identification on you and surrounds you with His fire of protection and peace. Galatians 6:17.
Say no to the devil and every work of the flesh.
Don’t keep the son of God knocking for so long. Revelation 3:20.

Say these prayers to begin a new walk with the Lord.
Jesus, I have heard your word and your desire to walk with me.
I confess my sins before you.
I acknowledge how weak I am and I need you the savior.
Today I confess you as the Lord and savior of my life.
Thank you for saving me.
Amen!
