Calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead.
You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how.
As I read through some versions of the Bible to a different translation of this popular scripture, I found the message translation quite intriguing. KJV version of the Bible puts it like this; And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Allowing Jesus to lead is the same as following Christ. And beyond Him leading, you must give Him the driver`s seat of your life. I have come to realize that giving Jesus the driver’s seat is the most peaceful decision anyone can make.
No matter how small or big an issue is, if God is the one driving it, you will always have a peaceful ride.
Note that Jesus didn’t promise a suffering-free ride when He is at the wheels of your life.
Are you still holding back some part of your life from Jesus? Following Jesus is simply handing over the driving force/space of your life and destiny to Him. God bless you as you follow Him

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
