JOHN‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭AMP‬‬
“For out of His fullness [the superabundance of His grace and truth] we have all received grace upon grace [spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor, and gift heaped upon gift].”

One of the things we forget easily is that, all we have is by the grace of God. Apostles Paul said, we are who we are by the grace of God. It’s easy to run to Jesus when we have issues but when things are good, it’s easier to take the glory.

I did it; it’s a story of consistency; hard work pays; I believed in my abilities; these and many more are the phrases believers use when speaking of their achievements. Today’s passage made it clear, out of His supernatural abundance have we received grace upon grace.

This grace includes spiritual blessings, favor and gifts. These are not just things that have to do with ministry only but the totality of our daily living. The Psalmist said “He daily loads us with benefits”. It is important to come to the realization that everything we do and achieve is just by God’s grace. It’s not by our works. As you go about your daily activities, remember to ascribe all the glory to God in all you achieve.

God bless you
