2 Corinthians 9:10
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
When man becomes comfortable in life, it is very easy to forget the real source of the blessings he enjoys. A story was told of a rich man who gathered so much for himself. Without referencing God, he boasted in his possession. As he planned to merry and have his soul enjoy “his” hard work, his soul was demanded of him. The rich man died and left all he had gathered.
Many people think they acquired what they have solely because of their hard work. They seem to forget that if the land was not blessed with rain, sunlight, stable weather conditions, peace, law and order etc. they may never had attained any position in life. Some others feel they found luck and were wise enough to utilize the opportunity.
No matter the category you fall into, there is just one source of blessing. No matter your believe, no matter your relationship with God. It is God who gives seed to the sower.
God has placed a seed in the hand of every man. His expectation is for you to discover what he has given to you, utilize it in righteousness and provide a bountiful harvest. Harvest that would not be seen just in our physical possessions but will also be seen in the spirit.
For those who fail to glorify God with the seed he has given to them, the bible speaks of a doom day. A day when all men shall give accounts of their deeds on earth.
God has given you a seed to make it grow (Genesis 1:28), produce good fruits and impact the earth positively. Your seed is meant for you to nurture into producing healthy fruits, your fruits are not for you alone but for the benefit of life on earth.
Whatever we do, it is important to always remember the source of our seed and the reason God has given it to us.
