“And it shall serve as a sign to you on your hand, and as a reminder on your forehead, that the law of the LORD may be in your mouth; for with a powerful hand the LORD brought you out of Egypt.
Some few days ago we shared a post entitled Coronavirus: The devil’s garment. There we discussed how this current pandemic is backed by the power of hell to destroy. Today however, we will discuss God’s call to repentance amidst this global pandemic.
The Lord is merciful and does not want anyone to perish. It is however important to note that sometimes in God’s mercies dwells punishment. Because of the Love of God, God can permit the devil to torment the world. But be courageous this torment is not aimed at destroying the world rather it is a call to repentance.
The lord may permit the devil inform of coronavirus or whatever affliction to tear down economies, expose the weaknesses of world leaders, scientists, religious men and woman just to draw the attention of the children of men to the fact that our lives and the world we live in cannot be relied on.
Matthew 24:35 says ” heaven and earth will pass away but the word of the Lord will never pass away”. Beloved God in His mercies has allowed this virus hoping the children of men will understand. Will understand that we can in no means rely on our knowledge, technology, wealth or affluence.
I know because of Gods’ mercies a cure will be discovered; I know this situation will pass away. But after this, more warnings and lessons might be permitted by God for the sole purpose of drawing men unto himself.
Psalm 14:2 says “The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God”
Dear friends, the day of the Lord is at hand, a day when no man can change nor stand. The lord in His mercies has revealed the possibility of this day through this global pandemic.
Would you allow the devil to keep deceiving you by telling you this day would never come?
Noah cried out to his generation concerning the coming flood, but they also thought it would never happen until they were destroyed. Today, the church warns the world concerning the coming of Jesus Christ: a day no man can hide from.
Jesus promises whoever believes in Him and receives him as their Lord would be saved from the coming destruction. What is your response? will you keep trusting in your human minds, technology, resources, idols or will you surrender to Jesus?
My candid advice: if you have not made Jesus your Lord. Run to Him now!
Join me to say this prayer if you want to pledge your allegiance to Jesus today.
Lord Jesus, I believe you are God and all things are subjected to you. I confess i can never prevail by my strength. I believe you came into the world, you died, and you rose again in other to give me eternal life. Come into my heart Lord and be the Lord of my life. As i await your coming, teach me daily the truth of your word. Amen.
If you made this prayer with me, be rest assured you are now a child of God and will be with Jesus when He shall come… though tribulations in the world may persist our hope is in the coming of the Lord and the life He promises us when He comes to take us home.
God bless you
