Text: Luke 3: 16. John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

The fire of the Holy Spirit is the working tool of all supernatural manifestation.
The fire has no substitute.
When a man is set on fire, the evidence is undeniable.
When the fire of the Holy Spirit falls, the evidence is real.
The Bible describes His first invasion in Acts 2 as a great phenomenon.
His invasion shook the entire earth, and the evidence of His fire was seen in the life of the hundred and twenty believers in the upper room.

It pleases God to fill His church with this fire, but before the fire, we must;

1. Prepare the temple. The Spirit of God will not come to a dirty temple.
You must prepare your body which is His temple with all spiritual discipline and diligence.
Run from anything that is capable of luring you to sin.
When sin takes over life, it’ll prevent the invasion of the fire.
In 1 Kings 18, the Bible shows us how Elijah rebuilt God’s altar before the fire came.
You must create enough receptive space for the fire.
You must empty yourself of flesh and practice spirituality.

Now examine yourself, are you in any way living in sin?
You must repent for the infilling of God’s fire.

2. Create the Atmosphere. The fire of the Holy Spirit will come in a place where He is invited.
When an atmosphere of worship with a deep thirst of hunger is created, an atmosphere of brokenness and prayer is created, He will come and transform your life in full.

Importance of the fire.
There is numerous importance of God’s fire as I have experienced in my walk with Him and seen from His word but we’ll see just three.

1. Effective spiritual work with evidential proofs and manifestation.
2. The fire destroys every trace of sickness and affliction in your life.
3. In as much as it destroys, it also protects His own.

Seek for that fire today.
It is for every believer who calls upon the name of the Lord in Spirit and in truth.

Shalom.
